The Eleventh Seminar of Counsel of the International Criminal Court The Hague | 21 to 25 of October, 2013

Last year the International Criminal Court (ICC) hosted its 10th Seminar of Counsel, a significant milestone affording an important opportunity to review the work of the Court since the entry into force of the Rome Statute.  In the spirit of the continuation and expansion of this work, the Registry of the Court is very pleased to announce this year’s 11th Seminar of Counsel.

The annual Seminar of Counsel provides a unique platform to not only celebrate the contribution of Counsel to the Court’s mandate, but to also engage in mutually beneficial dialogue and learn from colleagues’ experiences and perspectives.

Compliant with Regulation 121 of the Regulations of the Registry, the 11th Seminar of Counsel will take place from the 21 to 22 of October 2013 in the ‘’Aula’’ Auditorium of The Hague University, in The Netherlands.

In keeping with past editions, the Seminar will also incorporate practical Training opportunities for Counsel between the 23 and 25 of October 2013, dedicated to enhancing awareness of procedural and practical issues facing the Court’s list of Counsel.

It is hoped that the Seminar and Training will assist the Registrar’s efforts in fostering an environment of cooperation, increasing interest and confidence in the Court, and act as an acknowledgment of its efforts to meet the needs of the Court’s Counsel, consisting of more than 470 members from all corners of the globe.

The Registrar of the Court would like to express his gratitude to the European Commission and the Municipality of The Hague as Official Sponsors of the 11th Seminar of Counsel & Training Programme.

Interested parties are kindly invited to submit queries relating to the above to the attention of the Counsel Support Section of the Registry at: [email protected].
